  • Ashley Grottoli - Producer/Director/Writer/choreographer

    Ashley Grottoli is a globally experienced choreographer, creative director, and founder of Proud Poppy Productions. Her work spans international performer training, original works, and Australian theatre, with a strong focus on storytelling through movement, musicality, and emotional clarity.

    As the creative force behind Proud Poppy Productions, Ashley designs and leads high level workshop programs while also choreographing and directing original performance works. Her projects range from intimate showcases to full scale productions, including Home Alone The Australian Musical, and reflect influences drawn from working across multiple countries and performance contexts.

    Ashley collaborates internationally with choreographers, composers, designers, and creative advisors, ensuring her work is artist led, inclusive, and professionally executed. Her approach is defined by high expectations, precision, and a commitment to developing performers who are both technically rigorous and creatively intelligent.

    Alongside her creative practice, Ashley is a published author and academic in dance and performing arts and is currently working towards her PhD in Applied Sport Science. This research informed, global perspective underpins both her choreography and performer development approach. At the core of her work is a commitment to raising standards, supporting ambition, and creating work that resonates with performers and audiences worldwide.

  • Summer Stawiarski - Co-writer/Assistant Director

    Summer is a proud Yorta Yorta woman, emerging comedian, and co author making her mark in Australian musical theatre. Her work blends sharp humour with cultural depth and a natural instinct for storytelling that resonates on and off the stage.

    As the co writer of Home Alone: The Australian Musical, Summer helped craft the show’s comedic voice and narrative style. She also originated the roles of Gus Polinski and Maive Murchins in the debut season, delivering performances that showcased her comic timing and creative versatility.

    Alongside her writing and comedy work, Summer has trained extensively with Master Teacher Ashley Grottoli and completed the Dance Steps student teaching program. She holds honours distinctions in her ATOD exams and has spent five years teaching and mentoring young dancers.

    Her performance background includes seven years of vocal training with acclaimed teachers Laura Poulton and Susan Breen Clarke, elite competition experience, and appearances at major events including Carols by Candlelight, VDF, and the opening act for Music Box – Masters of Choreography.

    Whether she is developing new comedic material, performing, or contributing to creative development, Summer brings cultural richness, originality, and a grounded artistic voice to every project.

  • Rebecca Fortuna - Drama

    Rebecca Fortuna (she/her) is an Australian actor with more than twenty years of experience across theatre, film and television. She has toured nationally in major productions, including Fawlty Towers where she plays Sybil Fawlty, Confetti and Chaos, and the Australian tour of Dirty Dancing with Frontier Touring. Her comic timing and character work have earned consistent five star reviews and a nomination for the Dionysus Theatre Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role.

    Rebecca is the founder of Red Theatricals in Templestowe and has spent more than two decades developing young and emerging performers. She is currently working with the cast to shape their strongest dramatic performances, guiding them through character analysis, emotional intention and confident storytelling. Her approach blends strong technical foundations with a warm, supportive rehearsal environment, helping each performer discover depth, authenticity and creative bravery. This year she received Travel Gang’s Theatre Educator Scholarship and will travel to Broadway and Disneyland for advanced training and to join the team at The Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta.

    Her screen work includes the Netflix and 7Mate series Rostered On, the feature films Nova Star and No Such Thing as Monsters, and the award winning web series In Newcastle Tonight. Rebecca also wrote, starred in and produced the short film Still Here, which screened at LA Webfest and NZ Webfest with multiple award nominations. She holds a degree in Cinema, Theatre and Drama from La Trobe University, has trained at 16th Street, Howard Fine Studios and Stella Adler Los Angeles, and is a certified Intimacy Coordinator through IDC in New York.
