    Joseph Bough is an accomplished actor, director, and registered teacher with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Originally based in the UK, Joseph is currently in Australia on work placement until the end of the year.

    As a director, Joseph has led productions such as Peter Pan and Annie (including additional choreography), showcasing his strong creative vision and leadership in musical theatre.

  • Jasper McDonald Parsons - Kalvin

    Jasper McDonald Parsons - Kalvin Mckinnister

    Jasper is a passionate young performer who made his professional stage debut as Zebulun/The Baker in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Regent Theatre.

    He is set to appear in the upcoming Robbie Williams biopic Better Man directed by Michael Gracie, and appeared in Opera Australia’s production of Tosca at Margaret Court Arena earlier this year.

    Other theatrical credits include Tommy in the world premiere of Chelsea Plumley’s play Beautiful Highness, Zach in School of Rock for Wendy Samantha Productions and Young Simba in The Lion King for Take the Mic. In 2021 he was nominated for a Musical Theatre Guild award for playing Scuttle in The Little Mermaid Jr.

    Jasper has performed at numerous festivals and events including the Dandenong Show, Variety Christmas Party, Eco Collective Runway and Awards, Berwick Show, Casey Children's Carnival, and the F1 Grand prix fan zone.

  • River Mardesic

    River Mardesic - Buzz Mckinnister

    River Mardesic is a standout young performer whose passion, discipline, and stage presence have earned him national recognition in the Australian performing arts scene. He received critical acclaim for his lead role as Billy in the 10th Anniversary Tour of Billy Elliot the Musical (2019–2020), with reviews praising his “immense talent” and “depth well beyond his years” (Theatre Travels). The production toured major cities across Australia before being cut short due to COVID-19 restrictions.

    River is a versatile triple-threat performer, with elite-level training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and acrobatics. He also has extensive vocal and acting experience, with strong screen credits across short films, commercials, music videos, and web series. His work includes leading roles in The Speech, The Power of the Dream, and Colours, along with voiceover credits for ABC’s Kids on the Case, AFTRS projects, and animated campaigns.

    River’s performances have earned multiple nominations across national and international festivals, including the Dendy Awards (Sydney Film Festival), Paris Film Festival, and Canberra Short Film Festival. He was also a guest on ABC’s Prank You Very Much and the Actors 2020 Podcast.

    A dual citizen of Australia and Canada, River continues to grow as an artist with each new role. Whether on stage or on screen, he brings commitment, creativity, and heart to every performance — and he’s only just getting started.

  • Remy Deighton - Maive Murchins/ensemble

    Remy Deighton has been immersed in the performing arts from a young age, beginning dance classes at just three years old. Over the years, she has developed strong skills in dance, musical theatre, and singing, training across multiple styles and disciplines.

    During her high school years, Remy was an active member of the school’s theatre program, performing in several major productions. Her credits include the quirky comedy The Customer is Always Wrong, the musical adaptation of Freaky Friday, and the intense dramatic piece The Crucible, where she demonstrated her range and versatility as a performer.

    Known for her passion, work ethic, and stage presence, Remy continues to pursue opportunities to grow as a performer and bring stories to life through movement, music, and character.

    Miracle - Mary Lime

    Hi, I'm Miracle, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be back in the world of theatre — this time with the incredible team at Proud Poppy Productions! I’m stepping into the role of Mary, a cunning, short-tempered robber in Home Alone: The Aussie Musical. With a cast full of talent, heart, and hilarious chaos, this show is bound to knock you off your feet.

    Some of my previous work includes playing "Mother #1" in the biblical theatre production King Solomon & The Two Women, taking on the role of "El" in the university horror film project Watching You, and performing as a dancer in the private theatre show See My Voice. I’ve also had the joy of being involved in a range of creative projects across stage and screen.

    When I’m not performing, you’ll find me immersed in my other creative passions — I love exploring new ways to express and connect through art. I can’t wait to share this wild and wonderful musical with you all!

  • John Rochford – Gus/Ensemble

    John Rochford is thrilled to be making his musical theatre debut in Home Alone: The Australian Musical. A proud tenor from a farm in Northern Victoria, John grew up among open skies, muddy footy boots, and—much to everyone’s surprise—a deep love for Puccini. His unique blend of country charm and classical training brings a fresh energy to the stage.

    John is a 2021 graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, where he completed a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. While this marks his first foray into musical theatre, John is no stranger to the stage. He has performed with Melbourne Opera as a chorus member in several productions, honing his craft in large-scale classical works.

    Now swapping opera houses for booby traps, John is excited to step into the world of musical comedy—especially in a show as playful and uniquely Aussie as Home Alone. He’s honoured to bring the eccentric character of Gus Polinski to life and hopes to bring a bit of operatic flair and heart to this cheeky holiday tale.

  • Lana Hughes - Weather Mckinnister

    Lana Hughes is a passionate 19-year-old performer and emerging director with a growing body of work across stage and screen. She is currently completing her final year at JMC Academy, where she has honed her craft in acting, directing, and creative collaboration. A proud member of MEAA, Lana is committed to telling bold, authentic stories through performance.

    Her theatre credits include Endless Days, Cyrano de Bergerac, Realism, Where in the World is Frank Sparrow, and DecaDance. She also featured in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular in both 2022 and 2023, performing a speciality tap and en pointe act that showcased her technical versatility and stage presence.

    On screen, Lana appears in the upcoming films Honey and Summer of '25. As a director, she has led several short films, including Twins, The Apollo Murders, and Followers, demonstrating a strong visual storytelling voice and an eye for emerging talent.

    With a deep respect for the industry and a drive to continually evolve, Lana brings creativity, professionalism, and passion to every project she undertakes.

  • Summer Stawiarski - Heather McKinnister

    Summer is a passionate and versatile musical theatre performer and dance educator, known for her dynamic stage presence and dedication to nurturing young talent. With over seven years of performance training and five years of teaching experience, she brings a rich blend of skill, creativity, and heart to every role she takes on — both onstage and in the studio.

    Summer has trained extensively under Master Teacher Ashley Grottoli and other industry professionals, and she has completed the Dance Steps student teaching program. She holds honours distinctions in her Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) exams and continues to mentor students with enthusiasm and care.

    As a triple-threat performer, Summer has received seven years of classical and modern vocal training from acclaimed teachers such as Laura Poulton and Susan Breen-Clarke, and has competed successfully in vocal competitions. Her dance career includes performing in elite competition troupes and events like Carols by Candlelight, Victorian Dance Festival (VDF), and the opening act for Music Box – Masters of Choreography.

    A proud Yorta Yorta woman who grew up on the mission, Summer brings cultural richness and storytelling to her artistic work. She is the co-writer and original cast member of Home Alone: The Australian Musical, in which she played the dual roles of Gus Polinski and Maive Murchins. She also served as dance captain in School of Rock with United Arts Conservatory & Wendy Samantha Productions, showcasing her leadership and versatility on stage.

    Whether she’s performing, teaching, or creating, Summer is committed to making a meaningful impact in the performing arts community — empowering others through connection, creativity, and culture.

    Indiana Kimper - Fiona Mckinnister

    At just 11 years old, Indiana is already making her mark as a passionate and multi-talented young performer. Whether she’s in the dance studio, rehearsing musical theatre, or hitting the tennis courts, her energy and dedication shine through in everything she does.

    Indiana began dancing at the age of three, and her love for performing has only grown stronger with each passing year. She trains across a range of genres including ballet, jazz, and acro, building strong technique while developing her unique style. While she enjoys all forms of dance, it’s the fast, energetic, and wild routines that truly light her up on stage!

    With a vibrant personality, growing confidence, and a clear love for the spotlight, Indiana is excited to keep learning, performing, and chasing big dreams in the arts.

  • Lilian Mo - Megan Mckinnister

    Lillian is a bright and creative 10-year-old who is thrilled to be making her musical theatre debut as Megan McKinnister in Home Alone: The Australian Musical. With a love for performing and a natural stage presence, Lillian has embraced the opportunity to bring this fun and cheeky character to life.

    In her spare time, Lillian enjoys dancing and drawing — two passions that allow her to express herself artistically and fuel her imagination. Taking part in this production has been an exciting new adventure, and she has loved every moment of learning, rehearsing, and working with the cast and crew.

    Lillian is incredibly proud to be part of such a talented team and is looking forward to sharing this unforgettable experience with family, friends, and audiences in July.

    Kaya Abdi- Tracy Mckinnister

    Kaya Abdi is a lively and passionate 10-year-old who has been singing and dancing her way through life from the very beginning. With a natural flair for performance, Kaya has spent the past four years developing her stage skills as part of a local drama group, where she has taken part in multiple productions and grown in confidence and creativity.

    When she’s not rehearsing or performing, Kaya keeps active playing AFL football and netball, showing her love for teamwork and competition both on stage and on the field.

    Kaya dreams of one day performing on Broadway — her ultimate goal is to land a role in Wicked or Hamilton, two musicals she absolutely adores. With her passion, dedication, and infectious energy, she’s well on her way to making those dreams a reality.

    Kaya is thrilled to be part of Home Alone: The Australian Musical and can’t wait to bring the character to life in front of a live audience.

  • Sadie Bishop - Jan McKinnister

    Sadie is thrilled to be making her musical theatre debut as Jan McKinnister in Home Alone: The Australian Musical. While this marks her first acting role, Sadie’s passion for the performing arts runs deep.

    She is a dedicated member of her school’s Glee Club, where she continues to grow as a vocalist, and her love of performance began early. Sadie joined Step N Out Performing Arts at just 18 months old and has spent years honing her skills in dance and stagecraft. She is currently a proud member of their Elite Competition Team.

    In 2024, Sadie and her team celebrated a major milestone, taking home the Silver Award at The Shine – Season 4 competition, a testament to her commitment and talent.

    Sadie would like to thank Proud Poppy Productions for the opportunity to bring Jan McKinnister to life, and she’s incredibly excited to share her love of performing with audiences in this vibrant new production.

  • Emily Johnson - Linnie Mckinnister

    Emily Johnson is a spirited 12-year-old performer who brings joy and energy to everything she does. With a passion for basketball, singing, dancing, acting, and all things creative, Emily thrives when she’s expressing herself both on and off the stage. Whether she's exploring new art projects or learning a new dance routine, she’s always up for a challenge and loves trying new things.

    Emily describes herself as a generally happy person who truly enjoys life and all the adventures it brings. She is thrilled to be part of Home Alone: The Australian Musical and can’t wait to share the stage with such a talented cast. This production marks an exciting chapter in her performance journey, and she’s looking forward to bringing her character to life for audiences to enjoy.

  • Daisy Guesdon- Sondra Mckinnister

    Daisy is a bright and passionate performer who brings energy, colour, and commitment to everything she does — especially if it’s pink! With over nine years of dance experience, Daisy has developed a strong love for the art form, with jazz being her all-time favourite style. Her dynamic stage presence and sharp technique have made her a standout in every performance.

    Recently, Daisy earned a place on an elite dance team, where she has enjoyed training and performing alongside a dedicated group of peers who share her passion for the performing arts. In 2024, Daisy’s hard work and growth were recognised when she received a scholarship from Stepnout Performing Arts, a proud milestone in her dance journey.

    Now, Daisy is embracing a brand new challenge — musical theatre! Home Alone: The Australian Musical marks her stage debut, and she’s beyond excited to bring her skills to a new style of storytelling. With her positive attitude and love for performing, Daisy is ready to shine in this exciting new production.

    Rain Wilson-Roberts - Brooke Mckinnister

    At the tender age of five, Rain made her pre-professional debut in the very first preview run of Home Alone: The Australian Musical, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey in the performing arts. Now returning to reprise the role of Brooke, Rain is thrilled to bring fresh energy, confidence, and growth to the character.

    A passionate triple-threat, Rain trains in singing, dancing, and acting five days a week and approaches each class with determination and joy. She is an avid performer with big dreams — one of which is to appear on The Voice and ultimately build a lifelong career on stage and screen.

    With her natural stage presence, infectious enthusiasm, and ever-growing talent, Rain is a rising star to watch — and she’s only just getting started.

  • Xueni Mo - Ensemble

    My name is Xueni, and I’m thrilled to be part of the ensemble in Home Alone: The Australian Musical. By day, I work as a Sales and Technical Specialist for a microscope company, but performing has always been a passion of mine — especially singing, which I’ve loved since I was young.

    Although this is my very first time stepping into the world of musical theatre, it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much from our amazing coaches and feel so inspired working alongside such a talented and supportive cast.

    Being part of this production has ignited a whole new creative spark for me, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve created with audiences this July!

  • Sahara Bartlett-Matthews - Ensemble

    Sahara has loved performing her whole life and grew up acting, singing and dancing, with a particular passion for tap, salsa and bachata. With a keen love of learning and many interests, her musical theatre career was put on hold with studying and becoming a Secondary School Teacher, but she was determined to come back to it, completing an Advanced Associate Musical Theatre Course at APO Arts Academy in 2024. Sahara has acted in a few TV Shows and Films, including "Picnic at Hanging Rock" (2017), "Ms Fisher's MODern Murder Mysteries" (2018) and "Road to Boston" (2023), and she has most recently worked as a Character Performer at a Jane Austen Convention! When she's not teaching high schoolers Japanese, Sahara also teaches a dance class to adults. Sahara is thrilled to be a part of Home Alone: the Australian Musical in 2025.
